Grizzlies Make Series Of Roster Moves
The Memphis Grizzlies are staying very busy. The team has signed two-way player Killian Tillie to a two-year, $4 million contract. With this, they waived Sam Merrill and will be making Tyrell Terry their new two-way player.
Tillie has gotten into a lot of action with the Grizzlies this season, even as a two-way guy. In 22 games, he has averaged 3.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. With that, he's also played in two contests with the Memphis Hustle this campaign. While with them, he averaged 11 PPG, 4.0 RPG and 0.5 APG.
This is tough news for Merrill, but it also isn't too surprising to see. The 25-year-old is set to have surgery on his left ankle and it will take him at least three months to recover. In six games this season with Memphis, he averaged 4.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
As for Terry, he was just signed to a 10-day contract last week, so this is a nice little reward for him. The point guard has played two games with the Grizzlies this season, where he has averaged a point per game.
