Memphis Grizzlies Sign Guard
The Memphis Grizzlies have signed DaQuan Jeffries to a 10-day contract.
Jeffries does come with a little bit of NBA experience under his belt. In 44 career games between the Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets, he averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists. He last played in the league during the 2020-21 campaign.
Unable to land an NBA contract for the season, Jeffries has played this year with the G League's College Park Skyhawks. He's certainly done a solid job there, as he's averaged 15.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in eight contests.
When seeing as how the Grizzlies currently have six players out, it makes sense for them to add a player like Jeffries. Although this will likely be a very short tenure with the organization, it's a great chance for him to show other teams what he's capable of. Who knows? If he impresses, maybe he could land another 10-day deal or even sign with a team for the remainder of the campaign.
