Memphis Grizzlies Sign Guard
The Memphis Grizzlies have signed guard Shaquille Harrison to a 10-day contract.
The Grizzlies are noticeably shorthanded at this juncture of time. Kyle Anderson, Desmond Bane, Tyus Jones, and Killian Tillie are all currently in the NBA's health and safety protocols, so it makes sense for them to sign a guy like Harrison on a hardship deal.
Harrison is no stranger to 10-day deals, either, as he just completed two with the Brooklyn Nets. In two games with the team, he averaged 2.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. With that, he also played 11.5 minutes per contest. Now, he will be looking to build on those stats but as a member of the Grizzlies.
Harrison also has a decent chunk of NBA experience under his belt, too. In 175 career games between the Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, and Nets, he has averaged 5.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
Alas, this could be a good opportunity for Harrison to get into some more NBA action. If he impresses, perhaps he could land another contract from here.
