Memphis Grizzlies Sign New Player
The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Jon Teske to a 10-day contract.
Teske has spent this season in the G League with the Lakeland Magic. In 14 games with the team on the year, he has averaged 7.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. Overall, the center has been pretty impressive with Lakeland. It will be intriguing to see how much this translates over to the NBA during his short stint with the Grizzlies.
Because the Grizzlies have so many players in health and safety protocols, it isn't all that surprising to see them sign a player like Teske. This is a move that helps add to their depth. It also is good news for the 24-year-old, as he will be given the chance to showcase himself for teams around the league in the process.
He's a player to keep an eye on this week. If he impresses, he very well could land himself another 10-day deal elsewhere or even find a permanent NBA home for the remainder of the campaign.
