Miami Heat Bringing Back Two Players
Kyle Guy and Chris Silva will be sticking around with the Miami Heat for a little longer. Both players will once again be under 10-day deals with the team.
The Heat are still dealing with some issues when it comes to COVID-19, so it makes sense for them to keep them. They also have done a good job for the franchise, so one could argue that they certainly deserve a second shot.
In five games with the Heat, Guy has averaged 9.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Miami also hasn't been afraid to give him chances, as he's played 20.2 minutes per night. If he continues to play this well, he should be able to land another 10-day deal or even sign a contract for the remainder of the season - whether that's with the Heat or elsewhere.
Silva has also done what's expected of him since joining Miami on his short-term deal. In six contests, he has averaged 4.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.5 assists. The 25-year-old power forward hasn't played as frequently as Guy, though, as he's averaged 12.2 minutes per contest.
