NBA Rumors: Former All-Star May Return To NBA

Although Marc Gasol is currently playing for Basquet Girona in Spain, he's not against returning to the NBA in the future. In fact, he even stated that NBA teams have expressed interest in him.

Gasol is not only a player for Basquet Girona but also an owner of the franchise. Due to this, he noted that he is solely focusing on the team right now. Yet, given the fact that he stated that he's open to the idea of an NBA comeback, we may not have seen the last of the center.

Gasol played last season with the Los Angeles Lakers. In 52 games with the team, he averaged 5.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. If he's willing to return during this season, he could make a nice depth addition for a team looking to make a deep playoff run. Perhaps we could even see a reunion between him and the Memphis Grizzlies. He did play his best basketball there.

In 891 career games between the Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Lakers, Gasol has averaged 14.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per contest. With that, he's a three-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA Team member, and won a championship in 2019.

It would be nice to see Gasol once again play in the NBA. Let's see what happens on that front.
