NBA Rumors: One Team Emerges As Favorite For Myles Turner
If you go by amount of rumors generated, there's no doubt Myles Turner is this season's Most Likely To Be Traded. The Indiana Pacers center has been on almost every team's shopping list, but according to one report, one team has emerged as the favorite.
"Several competing executives believe the (Dallas) Mavericks are the favorite for Turner," writes Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report. He cites Dwight Powell and one of Dorian Finney-Smith or Jalen Brunson as a possible return for the Pacers.
For their part, the Pacers are rumored to have set the asking price at two 1st-round picks, or a first-rounder and one promising young player, according to insider Michael Scotto. Could that "promising young player" be the 25-year-old Brunson?
We reported earlier today that Brunson might be seeking a huge payday in his impending free agency this offseason, so perhaps the Mavs would look to get out from under that?
One hiccup in the trade talks for Turner could be a foot injury that is currently keeping him out of the lineup.
Injury Update: Myles Turner has a sore left foot and will be out tomorrow against the Clippers, per head coach Rick Carlisle.

Turner will get a second opinion on his foot and will travel with the team to Los Angeles.
They'll get a second opinion on the injury, while he sits out Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. But as noted by Pincus, getting a second opinion on an injury is "rarely what you do when the first opinion is something like, 'looks great'". So... there's that.
If Turner isn't in the cards for Dallas, they do have a strong 2nd choice as a big man to target, as we reported last week.
