NBA Rumors: Pacers Set Asking Price For Myles Turner
Myles Turner has been one of the biggest names in the rumor mill as of late. Although he would be an excellent addition to any team, the Indiana Pacers understandably want a lot in exchange for him. According to Michael Scotto, they are looking for two first-round picks in a deal.
It isn't surprising to hear that the Pacers have set a large price for Turner. He's a very good center in this league and still just 25 years old. With this, he still has plenty of time left in his prime years. Yet, with the Pacers sporting a 15-28 record, it makes sense that they are leaning towards having a full-on rebuild.
Turner is currently sidelined with a foot injury but has been having a very solid season. In 42 games, he is averaging 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. The two-time NBA blocks leader also of course plays very well defensively, so he provides a bit of everything on the court. He is the perfect player for a contender to add.
Although the asking price is high, there's no question that many teams are going to pursue Turner as we get closer to the deadline. Time will tell who will end up winning the sweepstakes.
