Nuggets, Spurs, And Celtics Strike 3-Team Trade
The Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, and Boston Celtics have made a 3-team deal. Bryn Forbes is the most notable name in it, as he is going from the Spurs to the Nuggets. The Spurs have added Juancho Hernangomez and Denver's 2028 second-round pick, while the Celtics now have Bol Bol and P.J. Dozier.
We reported yesterday that the Nuggets were interested in Forbes, so it isn't surprising to see that he is now heading there. In 40 games this season with the Spurs, he has averaged 9.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. At this point of the campaign, the Nuggets have a 22-20 record and want to improve their roster for the playoffs. Adding Forbes is a good start to do just that.
Hernangomez has primarily been a depth player for the Celtics this season, but perhaps joining the Spurs will allow him to receive more playing time. In 18 games this season, he has averaged 5.3 minutes, 1.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per contest.
We also reported yesterday that Bol is going to be out for the next eight to 12 weeks, so he won't be debuting with the Celtics any time soon. In 14 games this season, he has averaged 2.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.4 assists. As for Dozier, he has been out since November with a torn ACL. In 18 games this campaign, he averaged 5.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
