Raptor Player's Father Trashes Nick Nurse: "I Wouldn't Treat A Dog That Way!"
Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse has been playing a 6- or 7-man rotation for the last while, having lost all faith in almost anyone on his bench. One of those benched on the bench, Malachi Flynn, has been particularly buried, on and off over his two seasons in Toronto, and his family isn't standing by idly. Flynn's father has RIPPED the Raptors coach (again) on social media.
damn nurse might’ve told malachi he’s trash at basketball 😭 pic.twitter.com/vVBEo8ixrl

Eric Flynn started by name-calling, and it regressed from there. "I pray for Nick Nursery," Flynn wrote to someone on Facebook. "But the way he has treated my son, I wouldn't treat a dog that way. Malachi Flynn is a better person than he is a basketball player and why would you treat a good person that way."
In another chat, he suggested it's personal between Nurse and his son.
He says it is personal. So, now i wonder… Kyle said he should play. Now that Kyle is gone, he can’t according to his dad? pic.twitter.com/nDPtAOXMaS

"Malachi Flynn has been trusted by every coach he has played for, with Nurse it's personal. Have you forgotten that Kyle Lowry had to tell Nurse last year that Malachi needed to play?" (punctuation added for easier readability!).
And then he took on all of Raptor Nation, and that's never a good thing, dropping this zinger:
Nvm I’m on Nick Nurses side LMAOO bye pic.twitter.com/oHrf2kaAmT

"We all know if the Warriors had been without KD and Klay they would have swept the Raptors" (once again, grammar notwithstanding, he means "had not been without"). Questioning the validity of the Raptors 2019 NBA championship (right before Flynn was drafted), is a bridge too far.
This isn't the first time Malachi Flynn's father has called out the Raptors on his son's role with the team.
The trade deadline is Feb. 10th — just three weeks away; it wouldn't be surprising to see Eric Flynn's son be somewhere else by Feb. 11th. Or perhaps just buried forever at the end of the Raptors' bench.
