Raptors Sign Forward To Another 10-Day Deal
The Toronto Raptors are keeping D.J. Wilson around, as they have signed him to a second 10-day contract.
Since signing with the Raptors, Wilson has impressed immensely. In two games, he has averaged 12.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists. With that, for a player on a 10-day deal, he also has averaged 23.5 minutes per game. So far, it's safe to say he's taking advantage of all his chances.
This is a great opportunity for Wilson to try to earn himself a contract for the season from here. It certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility, as he already has four other NBA seasons under his belt. In 144 career games between the Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, and Raptors, he has averaged 4.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists.
The Raptors do have a spot available on their 15-man roster, so let's see if Wilson performs well enough to earn it. It would be a feel-good moment for the 25-year-old.
