San Antonio Spurs Add To Their Roster
The San Antonio Spurs have signed Jaylen Morris to a 10-day contract.
This is certainly exciting news for Morris, as he hasn't played in the NBA since the 2018-19 season. In total, he has played in 10 NBA games between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. During them, he averaged 3.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Now, in 2022, he should have the chance to build on those numbers.
Morris has spent the entirety of this season with the Austin Spurs of the G League. In 13 games, he has averaged 12.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest. Clearly, he has impressed them enough to earn this short stay with the NBA club.
The Spurs have been dealing with some COVID-19 issues, so it isn't surprising to see them make this addition. Let's see how much game action Morris gets into. If he impresses, perhaps he could land himself another deal from here.
