As a 26-year-old, Bass is getting his first taste of NBA action with the Suns. In two games with the team during his first 10-day contract, he averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest. With that, he also only averaged about 3.5 minutes of action per night.
With the South Bay Lakers of the G League this season, Bass impressed a lot of people. In 14 games, he averaged 17.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. This kind of play resulted in the Suns giving him a chance while having players in health and safety protocols. Now, he is set to have a second shot with the franchise.
It's hard not to feel happy for Bass, as is an older rookie who didn't have the highest of chances to play in the NBA just a year ago. Now, he is about to receive his second 10-day contract and could receive more from here. Let's see what happens on that front.
