Another Brutal Injury Blow For The Clippers
It didn't take long for the Los Angeles Clippers' injury bug to hit one of their newest members. The team has announced that forward Norman Powell has suffered a broken bone in his foot.
The injury is a fractured medial sesamoid bone in his left foot, which the team says is non-surgical at the moment. The Clippers acquired Powell a week ago from the Portland Trail Blazers. https://t.co/suqIYAIRvM

The injury is a fractured medial sesamoid bone in his left foot. The good news is that it's regarded as not needing surgery, at least at this point. Nevertheless, there is currently no timetable for Powell's return.
The injury occurred when Dallas Mavericks' Maxi Kleber landed on Norm's foot after a drive to the basket.

The Clippers just acquired Powell a week earlier along with Robert Covington in a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers. The team remains without All-Stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, both of whom are also out indefinitely.
Powell sat out the Clips' previous game with what was then suspected to be "turf toe", but the new diagnosis pushes his return further down the road.
He played three games for the Clippers, averaging 21 points in those games.
