Celtics Reacquire Daniel Theis for Dennis Schroder, Others
The NBA Trade Deadline has officially come and gone, and while some last-minute moves may still trickle in, the majority of the day's action has concluded. In what may be the final move of the day, the Boston Celtics have made a trade for a former fan-favorite who played parts of four seasons in green and white.
Shams Charania has the scoop:
The Boston Celtics are trading Dennis Schroder to the Houston Rockets in package for Daniel Theis, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Not only do the Celtics acquire a player who can help them with their size and toughness but they do so while discarding a player who doesn't fit into the team's long-term plans, especially after they acquired point guard Derrick White from the San Antonio Spurs earlier in the day.
The rebuilding Houston Rockets are also receiving Enes Freedom (Kanter) and Bruno Fernando, who could both be buyout candidates, according to Adrian Wojnarowski:
Rockets may look at buyouts one or both the players, per sources.

Both Freedom and Fernando have barely seen any playing time this season, while Theis figures to play meaningful minutes for the Celtics down the stretch.
With three meaningful moves which both improved the team's chemistry and helped save the team money, the Celtics may have won the deadline this year.
