Heat Sign Forward To 10-Day Deal

The Miami Heat have signed Haywood Highsmith to a 10-day contract.

Highsmith signed a 10-day deal with the Heat back in December and clearly must have left a good impression to get a second chance now. In four games with Miami, he averaged 3.0 points and 1.3 rebounds. Now, a mini-reunion between both parties is set to begin, and Highsmith will be looking to earn himself another contract from here.

Highsmith will give the Heat more depth during his 10-day contract. He not only plays small forward, but also can be utilized at power forward and shooting guard, too. Due to this, he could get into a decent amount of game action.

Before this season, he only played five other NBA games with the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2018-19 campaign. Over his nine-game career, he has averaged 2.3 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.2 assists. Now, he will be looking to build on his experience with the Heat.
