NBA Rumors: Pacers To Trade Guard During Offseason
According to Michael Scotto, the Indiana Pacers are likely to trade Malcolm Brogdon this offseason.
Brogdon just signed a contract extension in October that made him unable to be traded during this regular season. However, that changes once we get to the offseason and with the Pacers rebuilding, it does make sense for them to move on from the 29-year-old. He would get them a very nice return in a trade, and it could give him a chance to play for a winning team.
In 28 games this season with the Pacers, Brogdon has averaged 18.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. Overall, it's been a very good season for him, so his trade value is understandably at a pretty high level right now.
It will be interesting to see what Indiana decides to do with him once we get to the summer. With players like Myles Turner available during the deadline season, we could see them make a lot of big moves by then. Therefore, this could open the door to Brogdon being dealt.
