Oklahoma City Thunder Sign Forward
The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Aaron Wiggins to a four-year, $6.4 million contract. The final year of the deal also comes with a team option.
Wiggins was under a two-way deal with the team but now has earned himself this sweet contract. With this, he will officially be a part of Oklahoma City's 15-man roster. This also opens the door for the Thunder to sign a new player to a two-way contract.
With the Thunder this season, Wiggins hasn't looked too out of place at all. The 23-year-old rookie has averaged 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. He also has started in 18 of those contests, so it is apparent that he is building on his role with the team. With the Thunder sporting a 17-39 record and being rebuilders, they could be the perfect team to help Wiggins develop. He should get plenty of chances from here.
It will be interesting to see how Wiggins performs from here, but for now, he certainly warrants praise for landing this full-time NBA contract.
