Philadelphia 76ers Sign Center
The Philadelphia 76ers are set to sign Willie Cauley-Stein to a 10-day contract.
Cauley-Stein played in 18 games this season with the Dallas Mavericks, where he averaged 1.9 points, 2,1 rebounds, and 0.5 assists. However, he missed multiple months due to personal reasons and ended up being waived by the team last month. Yet, it appears that the 28-year-old is ready to return. This time, however, he will now be playing with the 76ers.
This could be a decent little depth move for the 76ers, as Cauley-Stein comes with a lot of overall NBA experience. In 420 games between the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and Mavericks, he has averaged 8.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. From here, he will be looking to impress Philadelphia and land himself a contract for the season because of it.
It will be intriguing to see how Cauley-Stein performs with the 76ers. They have a very strong roster, so he will have a good cast of players to work with. Perhaps the change of scenery can help him find his old form.
