The NBA vet went CRAZY in his return to the G League. He exploded for 45 points which is tied for the most by any player this season. Thomas is averaging 43.5 PPG in his first two games with @NBAGrandRapids. pic.twitter.com/vW18LGs1io
He also added 5 assists and shot 52% from the field for the Grand Rapids Gold. In his first game in the developmental league this season, back in December, Thomas dropped 42 points, along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Thomas continues to get love from all over the game of basketball, as fans everywhere are wanting to see him back in the show.
Isaiah Thomas not only belongs on an NBA roster, he should be playing a key role off a teams bench as their creator and spark. Not a spot up shooter role, but the guy applying pressure on a second unit. So much game. Pure hooper.

Celtics fans, in particular, are going bonkers, as team president Brad Stevens recently hinted at some possible interest in bringing him back. "I love Isaiah" were among his comments. The demand to bring their beloved former All-Star back is reaching a crescendo.
Thomas had 10-day deals with both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season, during the period when teams' rosters were ravaged by Omicron. He averaged 8.6 points and 2 assists in those five total games.
But for now, he's back in the G League, averaging 43.5 points. And he continues to believe in his NBA dream, as he posted himself the morning after his latest explosion:
If you don’t BELIEVE in YOU, nobody else will!!
