Boston Celtics Sign Forward
The Boston Celtics have signed Juwan Morgan to a 10-day contract.
Morgan appeared in one NBA game earlier this season with the Toronto Raptors. In it, he performed well, as he had five points, four rebounds, and one assist in 27 minutes played. However, it wasn't enough for him to earn himself a second 10-day contract from the team. Instead, he now will be joining the Celtics.
Morgan is a familiar face to the Celtics organization, as he has spent this season with their G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. In 29 games with the team, he has averaged 12.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
In 51 career NBA games between the Utah Jazz and Raptors, Morgan has averaged 1.5 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists. It will be interesting to see how much he is able tocan build on these totals during his 10-day deal with the Celtics.
