New York Knicks Sign Forward
The New York Knicks have signed Feron Hunt to a two-way contract.
Assuming Hunt gets some playing time with the Knicks on this deal, it will be his first taste of NBA action. The 22-year-old signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this season, but he did not receive any playing time by the time it was completed.
Hunt has been playing his first professional season with the Texas Legends of the G League. In 37 games played, he has averaged 17.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. Overall, he has been a very good all-around player down there, so it will be intriguing to see if it leads him to get some playing time with the Knicks.
Overall, there's no harm in this move for New York. They are simply adding to their depth and giving a youngster a chance.
