Major Help On The Way For Nets

Kevin Durant is expected to return for the Brooklyn Nets during Thursday's contest against the Miami Heat.
This is huge news for the Nets, as Durant has been out for 21 straight games due to a left knee injury. Without him, the Nets struggled immensely, as they only won five times. With this, they now sport an underwhelming 32-31 record and have dropped all the way to 8th place in the Eastern Conference. With that, they also of course traded James Harden at the deadline and Ben Simmons hasn't played for them yet.

Durant coming back could allow the Nets to get right back on track. It's been another marvelous campaign for the 33-year-old, as he is averaging 29.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in 36 games. That kind of production will be welcomed right back by the Nets. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to play this well as soon as he steps back on the court.

With the playoffs getting closer, Brooklyn is going to climb up the standings from here. With Durant coming back, they have a chance of doing just that.
