Mavericks Sign Guard To 10-Day Deal
The Dallas Mavericks have signed Brandon Knight to a 10-day contract.
Knight previously signed a 10-day deal with the Mavericks back in December of this season. In three games with the team during it, he averaged 10.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per contest. Overall, he certainly did a solid job when called upon, so it will be interesting to see if he can be a force for them again from here.
Knight has a good amount of NBA experience under his belt, too. In 449 career games between the Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, and Mavericks, he has averaged 14.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.
At this point of the season, the Mavericks sport a 47-29 record and are fourth in the Western Conference. They also are only a game behind the Golden State Warriors, so they certainly want to go on a bit of run before the season is over. Thus, adding Knight as temporary depth does make sense at the end of the day.
