Nets Guard Done For Season
Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks has announced that Joe Harris needs season-ending ankle surgery. Thus, the 30-year-old will unfortunately not return this campaign.
Harris has been working extremely hard to get back into action. However, every time he seemed to get closer to doing so, he would have another setback.
Harris played in just 14 games with Brooklyn this season. During then, he averaged 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Overall, he was off to have another solid season for the team, but it, unfortunately, came to such an early end.
The Nets were certainly hoping that Harris would be able to come back. At this point of the season, they have a 32-31 record and are 8th in the Eastern Conference. After winning just five out of 21 games without Kevin Durant, they have fallen drastically in the standings and now are on pace to have to earn a playoff spot in a play-in-round game. Now, not getting Harris back doesn't help their chances.
Alas, here's to hoping Harris recovers well after surgery and can once again be an impact for the Nets next season.
