Orlando Magic Sign Guard

The Orlando Magic have signed Jeff Dowtin to a 10-day contract.

Dowtin has spent the 2021 season between the Wisconsin Herd and Lakeland Magic of the G League. In 21 games between each team, he has averaged 21.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. Needless to say, he has been very effective at the G League level, so it will be intriguing to see how much this can translate over to the Magic during this 10-day deal.

Dowtin has also gotten into his first-ever NBA action this campaign, too. In five games between the Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks, he averaged 1.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists. Overall, the sample size is too small to judge him, but he will have a chance to build on his experience.

The Magic could be an excellent location for Dowtin to get some chances, as they have a 19-53 record and are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
