Pacers Center Done For Season

Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner has been ruled out for the remainder of this season.

Turner has been sidelined with a left foot injury since mid-January. Although he is making progress with his recovery, it does make sense for the Pacers to sit him out the rest of the year. At this juncture of the campaign, Indiana sports a 25-50 record and are completely out of the playoff picture. Thus, there's no reason for the team to risk worsening Turner's injury.

With this development, Turner's season officially ends at 42 games played. In them, he averaged 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Overall, it was a solid year for the 2015 first-round pick, and it would have been interesting to see how he could have built on it.

Turner was the subject of many trade rumors before his injury, so time will tell what the team will do with him during the offseason.
