Spurs Sign 2 Players To Standard Contracts
The San Antonio Spurs have signed Devontae Cacok and Joe Wieskamp to standard contracts. With this, they are now joining the team's 15-man roster.
Both Cacok and Wieskamp were under two-way contracts with the team this season. However, with the Spurs buying out Goran Dragic and Tomas Satoransky, it opened up the rosters spot for Cacok and Wieskamp. Now they should be presented with more opportunities from here.
Cacok has appeared in 11 games with the Spurs this season. In them, he has averaged 3.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 0.5 assists. With that, he also averaged 19.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists with the G League's Austin Spurs.
Wieskamp has also split this season between the NBA and G League teams. With Austin, he has averaged 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 14 games. Overall, he certainly has looked solid in the G League. In 17 contests with San Antonio, he has averaged 2.2 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 0.3 assists.
Nevertheless, congrats to these two for each landing themselves a promotion.
