Suns Star To Miss Time
The Phoenix Suns will be without Devin Booker, as the star guard has entered healthy and safety protocols.
With this news, Booker will have to miss at least the next five days. However, if he provides two consecutive negative tests 24 hours apart from each other, he will be able to return earlier than that. At a minimum, however, he will miss Wednesday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Suns are certainly hoping that Booker only has to miss the one game. They play their following contests on Friday against the New York Knicks and then Sunday versus the Milwaukee Bucks. With Chris Paul already out long-term, they are now heavily shorthanded with Booker's absence.
At this point of the season, the Suns have a 49-12 record and are at the top of the Western Conference. The Golden State Warriors trail them by 6.5 games, so they do have a nice lead on them. Thus, Booker being out for a game or two won't impact the standings too significantly.
In 54 games this season, Booker has averaged 25.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. It's been an excellent campaign for the superstar.
