Toronto Raptors Release Forward
The Toronto Raptors have released D.J. Wilson from his 10-day contract.
This news come immediately after the team officially announced that they have signed Armoni Brooks to a 10-day deal. They needed to free up a roster spot for this to happen, so it makes sense that Wilson was let go. He also sustained a knee injury and has been sidelined because of it.
Wilson was under his third 10-day deal with the Raptors, so this injury was certainly an unfortunate one. It seemed that he was starting to impress the team, but alas, now that ultimately doesn't matter. He will now be searching for a new home from here. In four games with the Raptors, Wilson averaged 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
Wilson comes with a decent amount of overall experience, so he should be able to land another contract elsewhere. In 146 career games between the Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets, and Raptors, he has averaged 4.4 points. 3,1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists.
