Toronto Raptors Sign Guard
The Toronto Raptors have signed Armoni Brooks to a 10-day contract.
Brooks was waived by the Houston Rockets in February. In 41 games with the team this season, he averaged 6.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Overall, he did fairly well coming off of the bench, but Houston still opted to remove him from their roster. As a rookie last season, he also played 20 games with the team.
At this point of the season, the Rockets have a 34-29 record and are seventh in the Eastern Conference. Due to this, they are currently trying to climb themselves up in the standings to ensure themselves a playoff spot. Although Brooks isn't a star, it does give them another depth option for the time being.
Brooks will now be aiming to impress the Raptors enough to land himself another 10-day deal from here or even one for the remainder of the campaign.
