Trail Blazers Announce 3 Players Done for Season
The Portland Trail Blazers have announced that Jusuf Nurkic, Anfernee Simons, and Eric Bledsoe are all done for the season.
Nurkic is currently sidelined with left foot plantar fasciitis. In 56 games this season, he has averaged 15.0 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. The veteran center has certainly been missed in Portland's lineup, and now we have gotten confirmation that he won't be returning. He is also set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer, so there's a chance that he has played his last game with Portland.
Simons is dealing with a left knee injury. Although he has been reportedly recovering well, he still needs more time to heal and won't return because of it. The 22-year-old guard had himself a breakout campaign, as he averaged 17.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 57 contests. It's a shame that it has come to an end early, however.
As for Bledsoe, his season ends before he even had the chance to make his debut with the Trail Blazers. In 54 games this season with the Los Angeles Clippers, the veteran guard averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.4 rebounds.
