Trail Blazers Sign Forward
The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Drew Eubanks to a third 10-day contract.
Since signing with Portland, Eubanks has been very effective for them. In seven games with the team thus far, he has averaged 9.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per contest. It's hard to expect more from a player on this kind of contract, so naturally, they are rewarding him with another one.
Eubanks should continue to provide the Trail Blazers with solid defense and a bit of offense in the process. He has truly thrived with them, and it isn't surprising that he has been playing a lot because of it. Keep in mind, with the San Antonio Spurs this season, he only averaged 12.1 minutes per game. With the Trail Blazers, he is averaging 26 minutes.
Nevertheless, if Eubanks can continue to play this well on his third 10-day deal, perhaps it will force Portland to sign him for the remainder of this campaign.
