Tyreke Evans Takes Next Step To An NBA Return
After private team tryouts, former 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans has at least made enough of an impression to land a gig with the Milwaukee Bucks' G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.
Sources: Former Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans is signing a contract in the NBA G League and is expected to join Milwaukee’s affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, for evaluation toward a potential deal with the Bucks.

As noted by NBA insider Shams Charania, Evans will be evaluated during his G League stint, with the possibility of a deal with the parent clubs in Milwaukee.
If he does sign, however, because it's well past the March 1st cut-off, he wouldn't be eligible to play in the playoffs.
The 32-year-old Evans started working out for a potential comeback in December, and in February the NBA lifted his nearly-3-year ban due to drug policy violation in 2019. Evans then scored a workout with the defending champs, who apparently liked what they saw.
He burst onto the scene with the Sacramento Kings in 2009-10, winning Rookie of the Year, displaying a wide array of skills on both sides of the ball. In his 10 years in the NBA, Evans averaged 15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists.
