Warriors Center Ruled Out For The Season
The Golden State Warriors have announced that James Wiseman will not be returning to the court this season.
Wiseman has been out for the entire campaign, as he's recovering from a meniscus repair from last April. Due to the severity of his injury, the team has decided to sit him out for the rest of the year to focus on his long-term health.
Although the Warriors would love to have Wiseman back in the lineup as they get closer to the playoffs, it is smart that they are playing things safely. The 20-year-old should have many more years left of basketball ahead of him.
In 39 games as a rookie last season, Wiseman averaged 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 0.7 assists. Overall, the 2020 second overall pick left a very good first impression. Here's to hoping he will be completely healthy and ready to go for the start of next season.
