Detroit Pistons Sign Guard
The Detroit Pistons are staying busy, as they have signed Carsen Edwards to a two-year contract.
Edwards has spent this season with the Salt Lake Stars of the G League. Overall, he played fantastically there, as he averaged 26.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per contest. With numbers like these, it's fair to say that he has the potential to be a scoring threat at the NBA level. It will be intriguing to see how much of this play translates over to the NBA from here.
Before this campaign, Edwards spent two seasons with the Boston Celtics. In 68 total games with the team, he averaged 3.6 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.6 assists. Now, with the Pistons, he will be aiming to build on those numbers.
With the Pistons completely out of the playoff picture, it certainly doesn't hurt them to take a chance on Edwards. Let's see how this works out for them.
