NBA Rumors: 2 Teams Linked To Rudy Gobert
According to Marc Stein, if the Utah Jazz make Rudy Gobert available for trade this offseason, the Toronto Raptors and Dallas Mavericks would immediately jump into the sweepstakes.
The Jazz have been cooling off noticeably, and that certainly is bad news when realizing that the playoffs are just around the corner. Due to this, there has been a rise in speculation that they could elect to make several changes to their roster during the offseason. Gobert would of course get them a massive extension, so it will be interesting to see what they decide to do with him.
The 2021-22 season has been another excellent one for Gobert, and the truth is in his statistics. In 62 games played, he has averaged 15.3 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. With these kinds of numbers, it is understandable that he was named to his third career All-Star Game. Yet, if the Jazz want to take advantage of his maximized trade value, a move this summer could make sense.
Gobert would not only be an excellent addition for Dallas and Toronto but also the rest of the league, too. If they officially shop him, expect to see the star get a plethora of attention.
