Raptors' Rookie Scottie Barnes Receives Valuable Gift From Sixers' Danny Green
At long last, after nearly 3 years, former Toronto Raptor Danny Green will receive his 2019 Championship Ring in Toronto Thursday night. But one thing he won't be leaving town with, is the equally unique Championship Jacket that each player had made for them. Current Raptors' rookie sensation Scottie Barnes actually called Green after seeing the jacket at the team's facilities, and asked if he could have it. Danny agreed.
Things I learned tonight: Scottie Barnes called and asked Danny to have his 2019 Championship jacket which is still in Toronto (like his ring) … Danny said yes and allowed him to keep it … this one of one jacket

Green left the Raptors as a free agent after the 2019 season, and has since won another ring, with the 2020 Los Angeles Lakers. He also has a third, from his days with the San Antonio Spurs, making him one of only four players in NBA history to have won a title with three different teams (LeBron James, Robert Horry, John Salley).
Barnes is the Raptors' exuberant new era, and one of the top Rookie of the Year candidates this season, but he obviously respects the history of the team as well, and wanting Green's championship jacket helps cement his already burgeoning connection with the franchise.
