Jason Kidd Shades Rudy Gobert and Jazz
Talk about kicking a team when they're down. The Dallas Mavericks showed a lot of moxie knocking off the Utah Jazz in their first-round series, particularly having to play half of the six-game series without Luka Doncic. But now that the Mavs are moving on to face the No. 1 seed in the league, the Phoenix Suns, Dallas head coach Jason Kidd threw some shade at the Jazz big men to illustrate how difficult his upcoming matchup is:
"This isn't Gobert and Whiteside. These guys can put the ball in the basket. Our bigs are going to be tested." - Jason Kidd on playing the Suns

"This isn't Gobert and Whiteside," said Kidd, alluding to the Jazz big men being offensively challenged. "These guys (Deandre Ayton and JaVale McGee) can put the ball in the basket. Our bigs are going to be tested."
“We have to adapt,” said Kidd. “Our gameplan against Utah is not going to work against the Suns. We’ve already changed that mindset because we’re not playing the Jazz. We understand their strength in the midrange, but they can hurt you with the three in transition and they can hurt you in the paint with JaVale [McGee] and [Deandre] Ayton.
Just adding insult to injury for Utah's Rudy Gobert, who was the subject of another bombshell rumor earlier today.
