Raptors Center Has Surgery
Toronto Raptors center Khem Birch has had surgery on his right knee. Although he naturally will need time to recover, the team believes that he will be fully healthy by training camp.
Birch dealt with knee injuries for a good portion of the season, so it's not surprising to hear that he elected to have surgery. He appeared in 55 games this season with the Raptors, where he averaged .5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per contest.
Although it's always a big deal when a player has surgery, both Birch and the Raptors are lucking out that he should be ready to go for the beginning of the 2022-23 season. Here's to hoping he has a quick and speedy recovery from here.
