Trail Blazers Forward Undergoes Surgery
This is something that the Portland Trail Blazers are now intimately familiar with. Damian Lillard underwent abdominal surgery back in January, and now his teammate Nassir Little has undergone the same procedure for a core muscle injury. It's Little's second surgery this year after suffering a torn labrum in January.
The 22-year-old Little came into his own this season with Portland before the injuries, more than doubling his previous season's totals in points, rebounds and assists in his 3rd season in the league.
He suffered a shoulder injury that had him go under the knife on February 1st, which ended his season prematurely. He had just started to reap the benefits of increased playing time, as he averaged 13 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 40% from three-point range in the month of January. Overall, he started 23 games, and finished the season with averages of 9.8 points and 5.6 rebounds.
Just get Nas right - whatever it takes. The guy has already been through so much at such an early point in his career.

Really hope he gets a full healthy season to show what he can do before he goes to RFA. https://t.co/20oYGyj6JC
The Blazers have announced that this latest procedure to repair the core muscle shouldn't affect his recovery timeline, and he should be good to go for training camp in the fall.
