Antetokounmpo is staying with the Milwaukee Bucks next season — Thanasis, that is. Thanasis Antetokounmpo picked up his 2022-23 $1.88 million player option and will continue playing alongside his younger brother Giannis in Milwaukee, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

This is honestly a no-brainer on the part of the 29-year-old. Thanasis signed a two-year deal with the Bucks last summer after they won the 2021 NBA championship. He earned $1.73 million this past year.
Thanasis has been with his brother in Milwaukee since the 2019-20 season. The two brothers won an NBA championship together.
In 2021-22, the former second-round pick appeared in 48 games and averaged 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest.
Thanasis has long been regarded as an energy guy off the bench for coach Mike Budenholzer's squad and brings positivity to the Bucks' locker room.
More importantly, his presence keeps the morale of Milwaukee's franchise superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo high.
