The Hawks also send Danilo Gallinari and a future pick swap, along with the trio of first-rounders. Given their rebuilding mode, it's a real possibility that Gallinari could be waived by the Spurs.
The deal gives the Hawks an insane backcourt combination.

Murray now pairs with Trae Young, who he had recently admitted he would love to join forces with. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Young, too, is "ecstatic."
NBA Insider Evan Sidery says it's the perfect combination for Trae, and the Hawks as a whole.
Surrounding Trae Young with a defense-first core of Dejounte Murray, De’Andre Hunter and Onyeka Okungwu is the perfect ecosystem for everyone involved.

Young will make life so much easier for everyone else, and now he can be hid well while conserving energy on the defensive end.
The trade undoubtedly means that the Hawks are moving back up into the Eastern Conference elite.
