John Wall Opts In: Rockets Will Look For A Trade (Again)
After earning $44M for sitting out the entire season in Houston last year, John Wall has picked up his $47M option—to not play for the Rockets again.
Houston Rockets’ John Wall’s agent, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul, has informed the organization that the guard exercised his $47.4 million player option for the 2022-23 season, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

Although the 31-year-old Wall (yes, he's only 31) has exercised his player option for the upcoming season, he is no closer to actually getting on the floor with the Rockets.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Houston will once again try to trade Wall this summer, though that $47M contract, again, will be a major roadblock to getting that done.
Failing the materialization of an unlikely trade, his agency, Klutch Sports, will try to work out a buyout that's amenable to both sides.
Both sides are expected to work through a resolution on Wall’s tenure in the near future. https://t.co/fGf4ByrNlC
