NBA Rumors: 3 Landing Spots For Deandre Ayton

As we reported yesterday, the situation is now "untenable" between the Phoenix Suns and restricted free agent  Deandre Ayton. "I think what Phoenix and Deandre Ayton would prefer is the Suns would get some assets from a team whether it's draft picks or players or cap space," is what Insider Adrian Wojnarowski had to say. 

With that in mind, here are the 3 most likely landing spots for Ayton. 

Brooklyn Nets

The trade request from Kevin Durant has quickly shot the Brooklyn Nets to the top of this list. KD has already made Phoenix his first choice, so a sign-and-trade involving Ayton makes all the sense in the world here. Could be another reason why the betting odds were going off the charts this week for Brooklyn being the landing spot for Ayton.

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are remaking themselves into an Eastern power, with yesterday's blockbuster trade for Dejounte Murray apparently just the start. 

Talks here have involved center Clint Capella going to Phoenix. 

Indiana Pacers

"I would keep an eye on Indiana," said Woj."Indiana had some interest in him at the trade deadline last year.

Now,with the changes the Pacers have made, sending out Domantas Sabonis at the trade deadline, Ayton would fit right into their new young core.
