NBA Rumors: Deandre Ayton To Brooklyn Nets Gaining Serious Ground
As the potential of Kevin Durant asking for a trade out of Brooklyn grows by the minute (as the Kyrie Irving impasse reaches epic proportions), the possibility of some type of Durant trade to the Phoenix Suns for Deandre Ayton is gaining some serious ground.
The Nets just jumped the Pistons for the second-best odds to land Deandre Ayton on @DraftKings. What is happening right now? Historic odds movement:

Suns = +135
Nets = +300
Pistons = +350
Brooklyn jumped from +4000 to +350 in the last hour 👀
The odds of Ayton going to the Nets have gone from +6000 to +300 in a matter of hours. From +4000 to +350 in just one hour. NBA insider Evan Sidery thinks there's something "happening behind the scenes."
Ayton’s odds to end up in Brooklyn are skyrocketing right now

We saw the same thing with Paolo’s odds to go #1 the night before the draft

Rumors of an Ayton and Mikal Bridges deal for Durant are making the rounds.
KD to the Suns makes the most sense for sure. Assuming it would cost Ayton, Bridges, Cam Johnson, and picks. Not bad at all for the Nets, and obviously great for the Suns whose window won’t last forever. https://t.co/mcK3m5guRr

All of this, of course, is due to the fact that Kyrie Irving's chances of staying in Brooklyn are becoming more and more remote by the minute, which, in turn, would lead to a KD trade demand.
Moves like these would leave the Nets, who came into last season with the most vaunted offense maybe in the history of the game, to having one of the greatest defenses in the NBA, with Ben Simmons (assuming he plays), Mikal Bridges and Ayton.
