NBA Rumors: Former Bad Boy Rasheed Wallace To Join LA Lakers Bench

Former Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons bad boy Rasheed Wallace could be returning to the NBA. According to former NBA All-Star Penny Hardaway—currently the head coach of the Memphis Tigers in the NCAA—Wallace could be joining an NBA coaching staff.

Hardaway says he believes that Rasheed is likely headed to join Los Angeles Lakers new head coach Darvin Ham as part of his staff.

Wallace spent part of this past season with Hardaway's Tigers as an assistant coach. But the now-47-year-old is best known for his explosive and volatile nature on the court, having accumulated 317 technical fouls in his 17-year career, third on the all-time list. He also set the single-season record when he received 41 technical fouls in 2000-01.

“I think Rasheed might be going to LA with Darvin Ham. That was the deal from the beginning,” Hardaway said. “If Darvin had gotten a job last year, Rasheed had already promised him that he was going to go with him. So, I’m thinking this year, with him getting the Lakers job, (Wallace) might still be going along with that process.”

Can't wait to see 'Sheed and Russell Westbrook 'discussing things' on the Laker bench.
