NBA Rumors: Hawks Looking At Blockbuster To Acquire Rudy Gobert

As Rudy Gobert's name continues to make the trade rumor rounds, a new report suggests that the Atlanta Hawks are looking to package some major pieces to acquire the All-Defensive center.

As noted by Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer, "the Hawks could be the most natural Gobert trade partner for the Utah Jazz."

And that would be because they're putting just about everyone on the table, save for Trae Young and possibly De'Andre Hunter.

"There has been plenty of talk among league personnel," reports Fischer, "that some combination of Capela, John Collins, Kevin Huerter and the No. 16 pick could be routed to Utah for the three-time Defensive Player of the Year."

The Hawks followed up their Conference Finals appearance in 2021 with a middling 43-39 season this year, a 9th-place finish in the East, and a first-round playoff exit.

Gobert has career averages of 12.4 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, and is generally noted as one of—if not the best—defensive player in the NBA. But his tenuous relationship with Jazz co-star Donovan Mitchell might be nearing its end.
