NBA Rumors: Kings Offering 4th Pick For "Win-Now" Player
The Sacramento Kings have missed the playoffs 16 straight years. They have every intention of ending that drought this coming season. They started to re-make the team with the acquisition of All-Star center Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers at the trade deadline.
Next up, according to sources, the Kings are looking to use the No. 4 pick in this month's NBA Draft to secure a "win-now player"... Whether they are able to draft one, or move the pick to acquire one, says Kevin O'Connor The Ringer.
"Trading out of the draft is a possibility, but so is moving down," writes O'Connor. "Sources say Sacramento is willing to move back for a lower pick and a player who would fit into the same trajectory as De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Davion Mitchell." The Kings' core is clearly itching to get to the playoffs.
I'm told Sacramento Kings guards De'Aaron Fox & Davion Mitchell attended NBA Finals game 2 tonight.

They spoke with new Kings head coach Mike Brown after the game.
Fox and Davion Mitchell went to Game 2 of the NBA Finals, just to feel the atsmosphere.
For trade options, O'Connor uses such theoretical examples as going back to the Indiana well, and trading the 4th pick to the Pacers in return for the 6th pick plus Malcolm Brogdon. Another option would be Josh Hart and the seventh pick from Portland.
There are many possibilities, and O'Connor expect there to be "plenty of buzz" on draft night surrounding the Kings.
