NBA Rumors: Knicks Looking To Unload These 3 Players
As the New York Knicks continue their pursuit of cap space in order to land their prized free agent target Jalen Brunson, several veterans, young and old, are likely on their way out.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Knicks are likely to waive Taj Gibson, while they're looking for trade partners for Cam Reddish and Alec Burks.
The veteran Gibson has a $5.2M non-guaranteed deal for next season, so that one's almost a no-brainer.
Word is that the Knicks tried to trade for No. 5 pick Jaden Ivey from the Detroit Pistons on draft night, and offered, among other things, Reddish. The 22-year-old will make $6M next season.
Trading the 11-year vet Burks could be a bit more tricky, as he's coming off foot surgery this offseason. He is expected to be ready for training camp... wherever he might be.
